Corporate Communications & Media Relations

We live in a world where technology rules, but still the written word remains the most powerful media. Whether you require a news release to promote your project, a comprehensive speech to be delivered by your company CEO or even a commemorative book celebrating a significant anniversary, there is no better writer to turn to than Jeffrey Reed, a leading Canadian communications professional.

Est. 1989, Jeffrey Reed Reporting has been an invaluable team member of Canadian and American businesses of all sizes who have required professional writing for a myriad of corporate communications and media relations projects. Jeffrey Reed is well versed in a variety of industries, and remains on top of all industry news in order to keep your copy current and result driven. Jeffrey’s news releases for local, national and international clients have appeared in The Toronto Star, The Toronto Sun, The National Post, The Globe & Mail, The London Free Press, CTV and CBC news broadcasts, hundreds of trade publications plus numerous weeklies and monthlies across Canada.

Marketing material for clients including London & District Construction Association (LDCA), Reid’s Heritage Homes, Fusion Homes, Sifton Properties, The Steeves & Rozema Group, Tourism London and City of London Parks & Recreation – just to name a few – have assisted in promoting a cornucopia of endeavours over the past 30-plus years.

Doug Tarry Homes, a leading Canadian builder of energy-efficient homes, relied on Jeffrey to write about the company’s innovative products and practices in a brochure marketing the Lake Margaret Estates community in St. Thomas. That brochure captured a national award from the Canadian Home Builders’ Association – the Grand SAM Award for Builder of the Year.

“Jeffrey has been a great help to me over the years. From ghost writing articles for publications, to wordsmithing our brochures, he has been able to keep our text sounding very professional.”

For a quarter century, Jeffrey was managing editor of the LDCA’s annual magazine while writing almost every article and taking most photographs for each of those 24 annual publications. His second book, Building Distinction: 100 Years of Construction in London (1998) chronicles the history of the LDCA, and is housed in the London Public Library’s London Room. Jeffrey wrote Sifton Properties’ 90th Anniversary commemorative publication, and Steeves & Rozema’s 50th Anniversary booklet. And, he has acted as a consultant, writer and photographer for Tourism London and City of London Parks & Recreation in promoting the city as a golf destination, as well as in promoting Labatt Park as a historic destination.
“Jeffrey Reed’s website, LondonOntarioGolf.com, The Voice of Golf in Southwestern Ontario, is an absolute key to promoting and generating interest in London and area golf.”
Tourism London

With special interests in business profiles of all types, every construction and renovation sector, and amateur and professional sports, Jeffrey has written trade magazine articles for hundreds of clients including: 3M Canada, Ontario Association of School Board Officials, Golf Canada, ClubLink Corporation, Children’s Health Foundation, Golf Ontario, Ottawa Construction Association, Toronto Construction Association, Greater Toronto Home Builders Association, Ontario Home Builders Association, Hamilton-Halton Construction Association, Grand Valley Construction Association, Canadian Association of Railways Suppliers, London Home Builders’ Association, Ontario Sewer & Watermain Construction Association, Canadian Society of Nutrition Management, Canadian Rental Association and the Ontario Motor Coach Association.

As a media relations professional, Jeffrey founded the Intercounty Baseball League’s media relations office in 1994 and operated it for three seasons before returning to the London Majors Baseball Club for whom he pitched and coached through 2001. Also in 1994, he penned London’s original baseball history book, EBBA 40 Years of Baseball, which revealed for the first time that London had formed one of Canada’s first organized minor sports associations in 1955, and that both Babe Ruth and Ty Cobb each had played a minor role in that formation.

In addition, Jeffrey has worked in media relations, assisting the Toronto International Golf & Travel Show with marketing, and working for the Detroit Tigers Baseball Club as a contributing photographer. He worked tirelessly to assist Golf Canada and PGA TOUR Canada in promoting the Canada Life Championship at Highland Country Club, and he wrote articles for Golf Canada’s official CP Women’s Open program when the LPGA Tour visited London Hunt & Country Club in 2006. In 2018, Jeffrey’s third book, The Canadian Seniors’ Golf Association, Celebrating 100 Years of Seniors Golf 1918-2018, found a home in the Canadian Golf Hall of Fame & Museum. The CSGA put great faith in Jeffrey during this two-year project, and he delivered one of Canada’s most important golf history books.
“Read your article on the Coach Atlantic Group. Great piece of work Jeffrey – one of the best ever written on our group, and on the motor coach industry! Thank you for such a professional job.”
